As a design collective, iABRAHAMTM.Co brings the hospitality of Abraham’s tent to the homeless and destitute–through design|arts ministry, faith-based fashion and world music . 36%-percent of profits directly provision and sustain charities and philanthropic initiatives that feed, clothe and provide compassionate pastoral care for New York City's poor. iABRAHAMTM also assists our European partners, working together to support South American cities through the NGO TEAR www.tear.nl/en, and to minister to the local Latino communities of Santa Fe, Nuevo Mexico. LOGOS GUILDWORKS MINISTRIES develops interfaith engagements designed to facilitate pastoral exchange, and create new inter-religious dialogue–assisting worship and contemplative life by connecting partners and participants in areas of faith formation, interfaith fellowship and contemporary pastoral conversation. The GUILDWORKS extends to collaborations between theological and Rabbinic schools, Yeshivas, Divinity schools and Seminaries working as partner ministries in (Abahamic) faiths. LOGOS GUILDWORKS MINISTRIES continues emergeing in direct response to God's inspired word-a modern call to living the Gospels, experiencing the psalms' intense devotions and living into scripture's core stories of mutually held faith.
LOGOS GUILDWORKS arts-worship and ministries in modern-urban spiritual expression encourage creating gatherings for city neighborhood religious schools and spiritual retreat centers, synagogues and churches.
As faith-based work emerges we directly experience God's word and work in what inspires and informs us, how religious traditions and customs imbue creativity deo gloria, for God's glory. Vignette experiences in our own and companion ministries provide rare moments while offering insight and mentorship into human flourishing through creative dialogue with the Divine. Generative movement and paradigm shifts mean sea-changes for interfaith ministry and chaplaincy. Clergy offering care as rabbis, pastors, imams, and trained laypeople are clearly, cogently awakening to the importance of standing under scripture fully within their faiths, simultaneously responding to related traditions with awe and wonderment and working to find common ground in mutual respect. The roots of these directions tap deeply down into learning from those of shared lineage and places of belonging–in-kind belief and faith shared by exchange with neighbors along the way. Great challenge exists in meeting “the other.” And rewarding reciprocity occurs in developing inclusive, invitational witness allowing for individuated, respectful standing attended by our genuine desire for sharing and learning, worshipping and serving God from a place of diversified centrality.
LOGOS GUILDSWORKS MINISTRIES works toward deepening an understanding of scripture as God-breathed inspired Word given to humanity as ground and garden for human flourishing—rugged terra-firma of Hebrew bible together with radical grace of Jesus’ commandments to love one another as God loves us. GUILDWORKS FELLOWSHIPS
LOGOS GUILDWORKSoffers two fellowships, the Helen L. Burke virtual artists residencies and Monroe and Barbara Schlactus Gimilus Chassidim fellowship programs. Kindled by a call to artistic expression of Scripture, (within Abrahamic traditions) these fellowships propagate rich materials of the Hebrew bible and the Gospels through design/artworks/music/sculpture and short moving-image video, put into devotional and pastoral service for the continued life and shared gifts of the synagogue, churches and mosque as places to create, and contribute to vitally lived faith.
LOGOS GUILDWORKSis a new pastoral arts-worship ministry and faith-based arts-guild whose members are engaged in living the creative injunction of Genesis, Let us make man in our image. And of the Gospels In creating we are God's workmanship. LOGOS GUILDWORKS believes in elevating conversations about how we manifest creativity in God's kingdom, individually and communally seeking intimate and raw, re-formed and refined relationships to the Divine-evangelically, joyfully witnessing God's word and work in our world.
LOGOS GUILDWORKS also encourages creative voicing of the Gospel, asserting faith's substance through artistic means and dynamic conversation. LOGOS GUILDWORKS provides a virtual and real community where likeminded artists interested in contemporary faith-based issues may dialogue with each other, generate feedback and reflect on specific projects and concerns–finding and creating as the early churches did, community to share and experience God. Artworks created in the GUILDWORKS are comprised of both function and aesthetic. Being faith-based works they contain calling, spiritual resonance embodied within as they come to fruition Deo Gloria, for the glory of God–engendering the essential covenantal call to Abraham "L'chi lach lech l'cha vaderech" Go out from your country and kinsmen...you will be a blessing and in you all nations will be blessed, similarly holding Jesus' call to us to be Salt and Light.
For us in LOGOS GUILDWORKS this is our starting place–ground of being and tabernacle משכן mishkan (dwelling place of the Divine). Witnessing salt and light in lived faith we are individually and communally transformed in God and Christ, the Holy Spirit through God’s grace. LOGOS GUILDWORKS fellowships are shaped toward this joyful, transformative, invitational witness.
Creative and generative, pastorally cultivating worshipful communities we are also, mustard seeds in good soil, finding fertile ground worshipping with, while respectfully loving our neighbors as ourselves, mutually partaking of cultural and religious resources as fruits of the Spirit–offering gifts built of God for the people of God’s building(s).
